3 and a 1/2

3 and a 1/2 is a collaborative film with the dancers of LCDS created for the show Collaborations 2018 at The Place.

One of the co-creative and co-director Liu Chen is colourblind. We wanted to capture her persepctive of the condition by showing the contrast through the dancers moves. The storyline follows the colors and how mixing them could be disrupting for her but she finds calmness in achromatic tones. Color blindness could be a disadvantage and limiting sometimes, however it is in no way a disorder.
